Today i come with a tag idea. I am in love with Tim Holtz’s projects and just about died when i saw how gorgeousthis one was. It combines some bling with Tim’s signature grunge flowers. I think that the end product is amazing and i perfect for a layout, or even as a gift tag. Plus its fun to create and you learn a lot about the products!

supplies:craft sheet, distress inks, distress reinkers, rock candy distress stickles, heat tool, mini mister, perfect pearls, glossy accents, ink blending tool (ranger); grungepaper, adage tickets (idea-ology); scissors (tonic); pearl bling, holly leaves (prima); script, fabulous flourish stamp (stampers anonymous); #8 tag, glue sick, ribbon
step 1: combine in mini mister, 1 scoop (the end of a craft stick works great) of perfect pearls.
step 2: add 1 dropper full of distress re-inker.
step 3: fill about 3/4 of the way with water.
step 4: shake the contents really well to emulsify the mixture. *you’re ready to go with your own custom pearl sprays. the color combinations are limited only to your imagination.
step 5: die cut (3) 6 petal flowers (i used sizzix flower layers #5) from grungepaper and color them by misting with various pearl sprays.
step 6: repeat until they are saturated in color.
step 7: dry the inked grungepaper with a heat tool.
step 8: ink the edges of the grungepaper flowers with distress ink using an ink blending tool.
step 9: snip between each petal about 1/2†to help the curl later.
step 10: flower #1 make only one cut in between two petals to the center of flower as shown.
step 11: flower #2 completely cut out one petal of the flower all the way to the center as shown. *this will look like a piece of pie.
step 12: flower #3 completely cut out two petals of the flower all the way to the center as shown. * this will look like a butterfly wing.
status: this is what you should have at this point…5 flower pieces
step 13: apply glossy accents to the back of the grungepaper on the petal to the right of the cut line. be sure to spread it out over the entire flower petal as shown.
step 14: wrap the flower into a cone shape overlapping the petal on the left over the glossy accent one on the right and line them up to adhere together as shown.
step 15: apply a paper clip to the overlapped areas allowing the glossy accents to dry completely – this is very important!
step 16: repeat above steps for the other two larger flower pieces creating three flower cones as shown.
step 17: ink the back of the two remaining petals with distress ink using ink blending tool as shown.
step 18: curl in the two top edges of smallest petal into the center with the main color on the outside as shown.
step 19: curl only the top left petal back towards the center of the remaining petal with the main color on the outside as shown.
step 20: the tricky part: flip petal over and roll into itself creating a cone with the curled petal on the outside as shown.
step 21: apply glossy accents to the area of the petal where they overlap as shown.
step 22: hold in place to dry with your fingers by pinching this area together as shown.
step 23: snip the ends from both small petals as shown.
step 24: curl the petals back on the three larger flowers by rolling them towards the center with your fingers as shown.
status: here is what you should have with all three flowers curled – plus the two center pieces.
step 25: snip the ends from all three flowers as shown.
step 26: apply glossy accents into the center of the largest flower and adhere next size flower by nesting it inside and hold to allow glue to set. *i prefer to off-set the petals a bit as shown.
step 27: repeat previous steps for next size flower as shown.
step 28: finish flower by adhering smallest petals inside flower with glossy accents. position center petals as shown until desired look is achieved. *if your rose is too tall, snip some off of the center pieces.
step 29: for the tag, adhere a piece of music paper with a glue stick.
step 30: ink the tag with antique linen and pine needles distress ink using an ink blending tool.
step 31: stamp script with aged mahogany distress ink.
step 32: stamp fab.flourish with walnut stain distress ink and ink the edges with an ink blending tool.
step 33: adhere grunge roses with glossy accents to tag. *here i created a red one too.
step 34: adhere holly leaves with glossy accents.
step 35: finish tag by embellishing with rock candy distress stickles on the tops of the roses, Bazzill bling on the tag, and an adage ticket with my message for the holidays.
While going through my everyday routines, I’ve come across a few very CLEVER and super cute Christmas ideas. They don’t even necessarily have to be used for the holiday, but could be made using a variety of different products from any company. Just a few fun and easy gift ideas to help us get through these last few days!
Glass Tile Charm Tutorial
1. Choose an image from either scrapbook paper, or one of your personal photos that fits your glass tile. 2. Apply Diamond glaze over the textured side of the glass, place image on the textured side of the glass so you can see the image through the non textured side of glass. Work out air bubbles by applying pressure. Let Dry.
3. Trim any excess paper off with scissors.
4. If your paper is not 2 sided or if you do not like the image on the reverse, use any metallic looking paper stock for the backing of the pendant by applying a thin layer of Diamond Glaze or Mod Podge over the back of the paper or photo you used for the pendant. Apply the metallic paper to the back of your pendant. Let Dry.
5. Apply diamond glaze to the back of the glass pendant to protect it and give it a glossy look. You may also use any sealant that dries clear (it does not have to be diamond glaze.)
6. Attach a stainless steel bail with crazy glue, to the back of pendant. Let dry.
7. Enjoy wearing and getting nice compliments on your unique creation.

Cinnamon stick jar
1. Purchase a jar of cinnamon sticks and peel off the store label.
2. Cut a rectangle from pattern paper using the Slice Basic Shapes design card and adhere to the jar.
3. Use Making Memories’ tiny alpha letter stickers to label the jar “cinnamon sticks.”
4. Tie some string to the top of the jar.
 Cocoa powder pouches and marshmallow pouch
1. Purchase cocoa powder and mini marshmallows and add to clear baggies. Seal shut.
2. Cut a scalloped square from pattern paper using the Slice Basic Shapes design card. Fold in half.
3. Wrap some string around one side of folded square and adhere over the top of the bags.
4. Use Making Memories’ tiny alpha stickers to label what is inside of bag.  Metal tin box and tag 1. Cut two tag shapes of varying sizes from pattern paper using the Slice Basic Shapes design card. Adhere to each other using pop dots.
2. Using Making Memories’ glitter letter stickers and tiny alpha stickers to put the recipient’s name on the tag.
3. Add a small Fa La La glitter foam tree sticker to the tag.
4. Tie a Fa La La trim around the tin and add the tag using a safety pin.
As you are preparing your holiday gifts, try this great idea. Make your holiday bows using double-sided paper.
Cut double-sided paper to 3″ x 12″.
Cut into 1/2″ x 12″ strips and punch small holes near ends as well as every 3 7/8″ increments.
Slip end hole of strip onto brad.
Take next hole on strip, loop up towards brad, twist outward 180 degrees and slip onto brad.
Repeat for remaining holes and strips, then open prongs of brad to securely hold paper.
Adjust loops for even spacing.
If additional loops are desired and first brad is at capacity, use second brad to create additional loops then glue to center of first loop arrangement.

With Only a Few days left until Christmas, i know we are all frazzled and needing those few last minute gifts. You all know what im talking about, the gifts for the coworker or the neighbor. A Gift you really don’t want to spend a lot of money on, but you want it to look nice. While today i bring you a perfect idea! I came across this the other day and realized it was too good to not share! Making Memories Line Mistletoe is one of my favortie Christmas lines this year, the bright colors make any project pretty and fun, while helping us look back on the memories of the special season. In this project they used the Making Memories Mistletoe line to create a CD holder! Music is something that is dear to my heart, and i know that it can give off the message that you want to give to friends, and family, that you might not otherwise be able to express. And EVERYONE loves new free music The instructions are below, along with a link to our store, where you can purchase everything you need to create this project.
Follow these easy instructions to create this gift idea.Â
1. Cut two 12†x 5 ½†strips of patterned paper from Making Memories’ Mistletoe collection.
2. Adhere pieces together with the desired pattern on the outside.
3. Lay the adhered piece in front of you lengthwise. Use a bone folder and ruler to create a fold mark at 5 ½†and 11â€
Note: You can add additional strips of paper to the front and back of piece if you want to see more patterns.
4. Trim a 5 ½†x 3 ½†piece of patterned paper. This will be used for the CD pocket. Put adhesive three sides and adhere to the inside of CD holder.

I thought i might give a few more project ideas , as well as an FAQ video for those of you who already use Glimmer mists. I think these projects help show how versatile this product is and how you don’t only have to use it for scrapbooking. While making a Halloween wreath this year, Heather was having a difficult time finding fake black roses, so instead of doing with out, or spending way too much money on them, she bought some fake white roses and sprayed them with Raven Glimmer Mist and created her own black roses. This is just one idea of how glimmer mists can work for any project you might have!!
I keep seeing picture frames decorated with scrapbooking supplies. I have wanted to play and make one so I finally did on my birthday. It was so easy and it looks so cute on my shelf. I bought a wood picture frame for only a dollar. Then I adhered the Autumn Leaves Black, Red and Cream Collection paper with the K&Co Craft Bond, and then filed off the excess with my Basicgrey file set so that the paper fit perfectly. The embellishments were also easy to apply with the same K&Co adhesive.  I was amazed at how anything I had in my scrabooking supplies worked with the frame. It is a great way to use scraps of paper and extra supplies. Try one for your self, I think they would make a great gift.Â
This week i thought i would show everyone this adorable cake!! Basic Grey had this in one of their monthly newsletters, and i think it is just the cutest thing ever!! It would make such a cute center piece for the week of a family members birthday!!
~ Pale Blue Cardstock (for bottom box)
~ Mod Podge
~ 3 Round Paper Mache boxes with lids(Purchase at craft stores; such as hobby lobby or Michael’s)
~ Clear Glitter
~ Blue Glitter glue
~ 1 yard sheer 1″ ribbon (distress in light brown)
~ Hot glue gun
~ 9″ of 15 Gauge wire for WISH letters
Instructions!:
1. (Instructions are for each box) Trace the outside edge of the lid onto the backside of the paper then cut out and distress outside edges with the light brown ink. Apply the mod podge with a paint brush to the lid top and also to the backside of the paper then adhere to the lid top and also to the backside of the paper then adhere to the lid smoothing out any creases or air pockets. apply more mod podge to the top of the paper as you apply light pressure to ensure that the paper stays flat to the lid. 2. Measure the outside rim of the lid and cut paper strips an additional 1″ wider than needed so that you can cut a scallop edge. Distress edges with light brown ink and adhere the paper to the rim of the lid in the same manner as the as the lid top. 3. Measure the outside of the bottom of the box and cut paper to necessary measurements. Prepare and adhere the paper to the box bottom in the same manner as the lid. 4. Apply another two layers of mod podge to both of the box pieces making sure to hit both sides of the lid scallop edges for better strength o avoid tearing. After applying the last layer of Mod Podge to the box bottom, sprinkle on clear glitter if desired. Shake of excess and allow to dry. 5. stack and glue the boxes together with a hot glue gun. 6. To make the folded paper embellishments on the second box, cut seven 2″ x 12″ strips of the confetti paper, then accordion fold each strip at 1/4″ intervals. When the entire strip is folded bring the two longest ends together and adhere to form the half circle. Then adhere a button to the center. 7. for top box assemble a large bow with the sheer ribbon and the cupcake fibers. then adhere them to the box lid. Apply cupcake letter stickers to the elbow chipboard monograms to spell “WISH” apply a layer of mod podge to the letters and sprinkle with clear glitter. Hot glue a 3″ piece of wire to the back of each letter and hen dry poke holes in the box lid and insert the letters with wire. Add hot glue to the wire ends inside the lid. Measure and adhere ribbon to the bottom outside of the box bottom.
